The PA Forestry Association has been a prominent voice in politics and legislation.
Key components of the Mission and Vision Statements of the Pennsylvania Forestry Association are promoting forest stewardship and sustainable forest management to benefit all Pennsylvanians. To accomplish these tasks, we prepare and disseminate policy statements on forestry and forestland uses. These statements address land use issues and opportunities affecting the environmental, social and economic health of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
To promote sustainable forestry, we advocate for better policies, laws and practices to local, state and federal agencies and legislators. In this role, we do not lobby, but strive to provide pertinent resource information that will result in better decisions and practices.
We work with partners across the state and are a seated member of the Hardwood Development Council to assist us in maintaining the pulse on forest resources in Penn's Woods.
