The Pennsylvania Forestry Association is excited to have our 139th Symposium Program highlight the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC). Founded in 1895, PGC manages Pennsylvania’s wild birds and mammals and their habitats for current and future generations.
Join members and friends of the Pennsylvania Forestry Association at the 139th Annual Symposium and Association Business Meeting. We will gather at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center, located in State College, PA. This event is open to everyone - Association membership is not required.
This year’s program will highlight the programs and work of the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Nearly 60% of Pennsylvania is forested and home to dozens of birds and mammals. The program presenters are featured on the following page. Presentations cover how the PGC uses traditional and non-traditional silviculture, their Hunter Access Program, prescribed fire, and techniques for managing ruffed grouse populations and habitat. You will not want to miss this excellent, informative program.
The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and coffee. At 9:00 a.m., the day’s program and presentations will begin. Lunch buffet and morning and afternoon refreshments are included in your registration. A registration form is in this issue of PA Forests. You can also register online or call the PFA office: 800-835-8065. Registration deadline is October 17, 2025. The Ramada Room rate for the symposium is $109.00 + tax; the room block closes October 17. Phone: 814-238-3001.
