Help Pennsylvanians discover the forests, wildlife, history, and people that make Penn’s Woods special by hosting a Walk in Penn’s Woods on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Walks can be as simple or creative as you’d like—a guided woodland hike, tree identification walk, wildlife tour, forestry demonstration, history walk, or a conversation about how you care for your land. State and local parks, landowners, conservation organizations, foresters, educators, municipalities, businesses, and community groups are all encouraged to participate.

By hosting a walk, you’ll help connect people with Pennsylvania’s forests and build a greater appreciation for the stewardship that keeps Penn’s Woods healthy for generations to come.
