The State Tree Farm Committee has selected Paul Kolvalczyk as Outstanding Inspector of 2007. Paul is a private forestry consultant who, among other activities related to forest management, inspects Tree Farms in Pennsylvania and New York. Since 1978 he has been the initial inspector on 32 tree farms totaling 39,582 acres. In addition, he has operated his own tree farm since 1983. While all the volunteers involved in the American Tree Farm System (ATFS) are important, we believe that the inspectors are the heart of the program. They volunteer their time and share their knowledge and enthusiasm for forestry with our Tree Farmers at no charge.
